KARACHI: Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui of High Court of Sindh on Tuesday reserved judgment in a suit filed by Ayesha Solvent Plant against Department of Plant Protection, Plant Quarantine and Certification Services Offices and Model Customs Collectorate (MCC-East).

The petitioner seek release of Soya Bean oil imported from Egypt worth rupees 1.2 billion by the plaintiff. The petitioner maintains that his consignment was stuck up incurring huge loss to the plaintiff as defendants Plant Protection Offices are denying issuance of Phytosanitary certificate. Barrister Khalid Javed Khan represented the plaintiff while defendant departments were represented by Additional Attorney General for Pakistan Salman Talibuddin and Kashif Nazeer advocate for MCC East.
