KARACHI: The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Model Custom Collectorate Preventive, Lahore seized smuggled and non-duty paid vehicles and goods worth Rs67.9 million during the month of March 2016.
Collector MCC Lahore Zulfiqar Yunus is supervising the anti-smuggling campaign while ASO is headed by Assistant Collector Dr. Muhammad Adnan Khan and comprise of officials including Munawar Ahmad Khan, Saleem Akhtar, Ejaz Rasool Shah, Khalid Butt, Rana Gulzar Bhatti, Arif Mayo, Sajjad Bukhari, Abdul Hameed Bhatti, Abdul Ghaffar, Ghulam Hussin Kalas, Shahid Khan, Tariq Baig and Amjad Khan.
Cases involving revenue of Rs403.004 million have been made during the period July 2015 to March 2016 whereas cases valuing Rs345.156 million were made during the corresponding period of last year, an increase of Rs9.47 million as compared with the March 2015 and increase of Rs57.848 million excess as compared with the corresponding period of last year.
