ISLAMABAD: The Anti Smuggling Cell of MCC Islamabad has seized large quantity of smuggled mobile phones along with sex medicines worth millions of rupees.
Chief collector Sarwat Habib Tahira has issued directives to Collector MCC Islamabad Arsalan Subugtigeen to take stern action against the smuggling. Arsalan Subuctageen has formed a team comprising Additional Collector Shalra Khan, Deputy Collector Tahir Khan and deputy superintendents Shakeel Rana and Matloob Shah.
The Customs staff near Rawat, seized a large consignment of more then 16 thousand Indian Origin, Smuggled, Sexual Potency Enhancement Drugs (Capsules and Tablets) along with 670 sets of Mobile Phones worth Millions of Rupees.
FIR is registered, vehicle carrying the smuggled goods also seized. Driver is arrested and investigations have been initiated.
This operation is the part of larger anti-smuggling campaign which the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is pursuing. It may be mentioned here that this anti-smuggling operation is launched by MCC Islamabad after quite a long time.
