KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Intelligence Peshawar has seized large quantity of smuggled goods worth around Rs34 million and arrested three persons. FIRs are being lodged in this regard.

Under the directives of DG I&I Imtiaz Ahmed, Director Customs Intelligence Peshawar Mohammad Asghar Khan is keeping strict vigilance on the movement of smuggled goods.

Subsequently, a special anti smuggling team comprising Additional Director Ziaullah Shams and Deputy Director Khayal Mohammad and other with assistance of Peshawar Police seized three truck/trailers loaded with  miscellaneous  goods including cloth, motorcycle chain, 138 bags of black tea, gents suiting cloth, mobile chargers, DVD-Rs, handkerchief, TV kit, Samsung and Sony LED TVs, General window ACs, QMobile phones etc.

The customs authorities have complete assistance of law enforcement agencies as well as para-military forces in this campaign underway with a prime objective of eliminating funding to terrorist and anti-social groups.
