KARACHI: A division bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Junaid Ghaffar on Wednesday ordered release of more than a dozen consignments of LED lights and sought a compliance report by Nov 18, 2015.

The bench earlier heard Khawaja Shamsul Islam advocate, counsel for importer company who alleged that while consignments containing identical goods by some blue eyed importers are being released by the custom officers, the petitioner is denied of the same and so far about 19 consignments have been stuck up on one pretext or the other.

He complained discrimination. The counsel for respondent custom officials expressed ignorance about the case after which the bench ordered release of the consignments subject to payment of differential amount of custom duty and also called a report of compliance.

The same bench also ordered release of 3300 Metric tons of Palm Acid Oil imported by Gamalux Oleochemicals (Pvt) Limited on payment of differential amount of duty by way of pay orders to be deposited with the Nazir of SHC.
