KARACHI: The Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat has empowered the Advisors posted at Ombudsman’s regional offices across the country to investigate the complaints pertaining to income tax, Customs, sales tax, federal excise duty and Freedom of Information Ordinance, 2002,
The measure has been taken for the convenience of taxpayers across the country and also for appropriate capacity utilization.
The FTO head office in Islamabad would investigate the complaints pertaining to MCC Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan along with Regional Tax Offices of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Gilgit Baltistan.
Similarly FTO Regional office Abbotabad would address the complaints pertaining to RTO Abbotabad and Hazara Division from MCC Peshawar.
FTO Regional office Quetta would deal with issues pertaining to RTO Quetta and entire Balochistan alng with MCC Quetta and Gwadar.
FTO’s Karachi office would address the complaints related to RTO Karachi and Hyderabad as MCC Appraisement (West & East), MCC Exports (Port Qasim & Custom House Karachi), MCC Preventive and MCC Port Qasim.
FTO Office Sukkur would deal with issues relating to RTO Sukkur and MCC Hyderabad; FTO Lahore office would take care of complaints relating to RTO Lahore, Sargodha and Gujranwala and MCC Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad; FTO office in Sialkot would investigate complaints regarding RTO Sialkot and MCC Sambrial Sialkot.
