KARACHI: The Customs agents of the country had announced to go a strike from September 10, 2013 that would result in no clearing and forwarding of imports and exports consignments.
The announcement was made jointly by All Pakistan Customs Agents Association (APCAA) and Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) after taking all the associations of the country on board.
The strike was called after Port Qasim Collectorate issued order-in-original to the customs agents in Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) scam.
The orders dated June 29, 2013 have been received in August.
The APCAA has convened a meeting on Friday, September 06, 2013 in Karachi at 1600 hours where members of all the dry ports’ association and media would be briefed.
