KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) has announced the appointment of Sharjeel Jamal, the CEO of UTrade Logistics, as the Convener of its Committee on Trade & Regulatory Laws for the year 2024-2025. This is the third consecutive year that Jamal has been entrusted with this role, which reflects his expertise and experience in the field.

As the Convener, Jamal will be responsible for selecting and appointing at least nine members from the Sindh Province who have relevant knowledge and skills in trade and regulatory laws. He will also convene quarterly meetings of the Committee and submit action plans and reports to the FPCCI Secretariat and Executive Committee.

The Committee on Trade & Regulatory Laws is one of the key committees of the FPCCI, which aims to facilitate and promote trade and commerce in Pakistan by addressing the issues and challenges faced by the business community in relation to the laws and regulations governing their activities. The Committee also works closely with the government and other stakeholders to advocate for reforms and improvements in the legal and regulatory framework.

Jamal expressed his gratitude and commitment to the FPCCI for reappointing him as the Convener of the Committee. He said that he will continue to work hard and collaborate with his fellow members to achieve the objectives and goals of the Committee and the FPCCI. He also thanked the FPCCI Secretariat for providing guidance and assistance to the Committee.
