KARACHI: The Additional Collector, Pakistan Customs, Adjudication I, Nawabzadi Aliya Khanji on Tuesday ordered release of a Toyota Corolla GLI car impounded by Anti-Smuggling Organization staff (ASO) after Indian origin betel nut products weighing 210 kilograms were recovered from the said car.

The car was intercepted in front of National Medical Centre, Korangi Road and search led to the recovery of contra band items.

Deciding an appeal under section 181 of the Pakistan Custom Rules 1969, she ordered release of the vehicle on payment of redumption fine at a rate of 20 per cent besides fine of rupees 5000.
