KARACHI: MCC Quetta has intensified its operation against the movement of smuggled goods and recovered smuggled items including contraband worth Rs3.5 million from from several check posts.

MCC Quetta recovered huge quantity of foreign origin goods from a truck at Bolan area. The said truck carrying Gutkha Indian origins blankets and cigarette worth Rs2.0 million while the said Hino truck is valued at Rs2.0 million.

MCC Quetta foiled another attempt to transport Indian gutka and seized the contraband worth Rs1.5 million.

Information was conveyed by the Collector Ashraf Ali to Additional Collector Zubair Shah Preventive, who further directed Deputy Collector Maqbool Baloch and subsequently to Superintendents Maqsood Durrani and Aslam Khan.

Further direction was passed to in charge Lakpass check post Yousaf Notezai and Darakhsan Bolan check post Muhammad Shabir Khan, besides them Essa Khan Mosam Khan Ishaq George and Abdul Qahir inspectors of the said check posts participated.
