KARACHI: Justice Fahim Ahmed Siddiqui of High Court of Sindh (SHC) on Friday disposed of a bail plea filed by a cleaner of a bus booked by Pakistan Customs on alleged charge of smuggling opium.

The bench earlier heard bail plea filed by Nawab cleaner. The bench perusing the file asked about co-accused Tanveer and Liaquat, drivers of the bus coming to Karachi from Mand Blu.

To a query by the bench, the counsel for applicants submitted that trial is continuing and evidence is yet to conclude. The counsel stated that Rangers officials let the owners of the packets go scot-free while the bus staff was implicated in case under section 9 C of the Control of Narcotics Act.

The bench disposed of the bail plea directing the accused/applicants to file bail applications afresh.
