KARACHI: Customs Quetta seized over 630 K of hashish (charas) from 10 wheeler vehicle coming from border area Chaman to in side country at the Balelei Check post.

According to officials, the drugs were concealed in the specially designed cavities made in the floor of the Truck. The market value of the said drugs was 3.15 million while with truck is valued at 3.65 million.
Collector Customs Quetta Ashraf Ali, told that the officials stopped a suspicious Hino Ten Wheeler and during search recovered over 15.75 maunds of hashish, (630 kg), During the search of Hino Truck the driver managed to escaped from the scene taking advantage of heavy road traffic. He appreciated the role of Anti Smuggling wing leaded by Additional Collector Zubair Shah, Deputy Collector Maqbool Baloch, Superintendent Maqsood Durrani, Inspectors. Muhammad Shabir Khan, Muhammad Saleem Shah, Qurban Hussain, Abdul Ghafoor and Ishaq George. The truck was confiscated and shifted to custom HQ.
Case had been registered against unknown smuggling.
