KARACHI: Qasim International Container Terminal (QICT) has moved the examination hall right before the yard to facilitate trade and expedite processing of the imported consignments.

An official said this measure would reduce the dwell time and expedite processing of imported consignments. Advisor to Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan during his farewell visit inaugurated the QICT examination hall.    Member Customs Zahid Khokhar, Chief Collector Appraisement South Abdul Rasheed Shaikh, Chief Collector Enforcement Manzoor Memon, Collector Port Qasim Chaudry Javed, Director Valuation Iqbal Muneeb, Director PCA, Collector Export Port Qasim Saifuddin Junejo, Additional Collectors Yaseen Murtaza, Khalil Yousafani, Mohammad Ismail and other Customs officers as well as officials of DP World were present on the occasion.

Earlier, Haroon Akhtar also visited regional tax offices and met with officers of Inland Revenue officers.
