KARACHI: Director Customs Intelligence, Quetta Irfan Javed has placed two sepoys Maqbool Ahmed and Nooruddin off duty due to their negligence in performing their duty at State Warehouse, Killi Gul Muhammad, Quetta. Irfan Javed has also ordered an investigation against the delinquent officials.
Furthermore, the Director has also ordered formal inquiry against Intelligence Officer Muhammad Nasrullah for prima-facie misreporting of facts. The Inquiry proceedings have duly been initiated and respective letter issued to the official to ascertain factual position.
It may be mentioned here that Customs Intelligence, Quetta detected revenue evasion, which the unscrupulous importers had attempted to do through mis-declaration. Moreover, foreign origin charas worth Rs20 million was also seized.
Furthermore, during the last two working days of November, 2017, Customs Intelligence geared up its efforts and seized smuggled goods valuing Rs37 million. The goods seized include vehicles, carpets, blankets and other miscellaneous goods.
