KARACHI: Customs Intelligence Quetta has been quite efficient against the movement of smuggled goods and carried on several successful operations during the month of July 2017.
Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation, Quetta under the supervision of Director Irfan Javed made an unprecedented number of seizures amounting to Rs131.638 million during the month of July, 2017. There has been an increase of 227 percent when compared with the seizures made in July, 2016.
Major Items seized are Sulphonic Acid, Motor Oil, Mobil Oil, Plastic Shopping Bags, Skimmed Milk (Rs. 47.740 million), Non-duty Paid vehicles (Rs14.4 million), vehicles involved in Smuggling (Rs67.3 million) Iranian Diesel, Tyres, and Medicine.
Director Intelligence has also conducted meetings with the operational heads of Frontier Constabulary (FC) at Quetta and Khuzdar, respective Police and District Administration Officers of the region for collaborative and more productive results.
