KARACHI: Under the dynamic leadership of Collector Preventive Lahore, Dr Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry, MCC Preventive Lahore has not only surpassed the target of customs duty collection but the overall revenue target of all the duty and taxes assigned for the month of June 2017.

The collectorate has collected Rs1.040 billion under the head of customs duty against the assigned target of 1.030 billion, whereas an overall  revenue of Rs3.3 billions in respect of all duty & taxes has been collected against the target of Rs3.2 billion.

Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhary has congratulated to all the officers of the preventive collectorate on this remarkable achievement.

Meanwhile, Customs Appraisement Lahore collected Customs Duty of Rs28.4 billion for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2017, which is 24 percent higher than the collection in the last fiscal year.

In June 2017 alone, Customs Appraisement Lahore collected a revenue of Rs4.5 billion surpassing the target assigned by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). This collection is 30 percent higher than the collection in the previous year.

Collector Appraisement Lahore Jamil Nasir has appreciated his team for this extra-ordinary performance and said in the last quarter of the fiscal year, revenue collection surged over 30 percent.
