KARACHI: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has quite secretly moved Ashraf Ali Director Customs Intelligence & Investigation to the office of Director Transit Trade Karachi.
The transfer comes surprising as according to FBR practice transfers and postings are kept on hold during June, the last month of the financial year. Moreover, the transfers were kept quite secret as the notification was not placed on the FBR website.
Irfan Javed Director Transit Trade Karachi has been posted as Director Customs Intelligence & Investigation, Quetta. Irfan Javed is a very honest and literary man and he has appraisement experience.
Sources said Ashraf Ali was a well reputed officer and had been performing quite well at Directorate of I&I Quetta, which is the reason of his transfer.
It is said Director General Shaukat Ali does not want dedicated and honest officers at his directorates as he is known to keep just dummy directors without any authority. This transfer proves that Shaukat Ali is pursuing his personal agenda
