KARACHI: An appellate bench of High Court of Sindh (SHC) comprising Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Arshad Hussain Khan on Friday suspended order passed by a single judge while tagging the appeals along with identical appeals alrady fixed forhearing on April 27.

The bench was hearing High Court Appeals (HCA’s) filed by Federal Board of Revenue & others versus M/s. Hantex, Umari Spinnign Textile Mills , Aziz Tabba Foundation, Sapphire Textile Mills Ltd , Kamal Hosiery Mills and others . Masooda Siraj advocate assisted by Sardar Zafar Hussain advocate arguing the appeals relied on a recent order passed on April 07 by another division bench of SHC comprising JusticeAqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Nazar Akbar which suspended the impugned judgments in favour of the respondents. She submitted that suits are barred against Custom authorities.

The bench entertaining the appeals under rule of consistency, suspended the impugned order and ordered that these appeals be also tagged with ones filed previously and fixed for hearing on April 27.
