Government of Pakistan notifies promotions of civil servants

KARACHI: The Government of Pakistan has notified promotions of Civil Servants of Pakistan (CSP) from Grade-20 to Grade-21 and from Grade-19 to Grade-20.

However, the notified promotions raise several questions, as a number of deserving officers have not been considered for promotions. It is expected that these promotions would invited litigation before the court of law.

Pakistan Customs Service officers promoted to Grade-21 include Manzoor Hussain Memon, Amer Ahmed, Dr. Jawwad Uwais Agha, Mrs. Zeba Hai Azhar, Mrs. Suraiya Ahmad Butt and Imran Tariq. However, Syed Tanveer Ahmed and Wasif Ali Memon were not promoted despite the fact they deserved promotion.

Inland Revenue Service (IRS) officers promoted to Grade-21 include Ghazanfar Hussain, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Mrs. Fareena Mazhar, Nazir Ahmad Shoro, Dr. Fazal Muhammad Abrejo, Ms. Seema Shakeel, Kh. Adnan Zaheer, Syed Mustafa Sajjad Hussain, Zulqarnain Tirmizi, Shad Muhammad, Ms. Mahbooba Razzaq, Dr. Muhammad Akram Khan and Nadir Mumtaz Warraich.

In the Pakistan Customs Group, Grade-19 officers promoted to Grade-20 include Mrs. Samina Tasleem Zehra, Ms. Rabab Sikandar, Abdul Qadir Memon, Ms. Shahnaz Maqbool, Fayyaz Anwar, Dr. Iflikhar Ahmad, Feroze Alam Junejo, Muhammad Salaam, Zahid Ali Baig, Ihsan Ali Shah, Sadiqullah Khan, Ms. Naureen Ahmad Tarar, lrfan Javed, Syed Asad Raza Rizvi, Ms. Qurat ul Ain Dogar, Dr. Tahir Qureshi, Ashraf Ali, Muhammad Jamil Nasir Khan, Ms. Ambreen Ahmad Tarar and Raza. However, Wajid Ali, Zeba Azhar, Gul Rehman, Faiz Ahmed were not promoted while Iqbal Muneeb was not even considered by the Central Selection Board (CSB).

Inland Revenue Service (IRS) officers promoted to Grade-20 include Imtiaz Ahmed, Badruddin Ahmed Qureshi, Yousaf Haider Sheikh, Syed Mahmood Hussain Jafri, Ardsher Saleem Tariq, Faheem Mohammad, Muhammad Taj Hameed, Sajjad Akbar Khan, Sajjad Taslim Azam,  Muhammad Jamil Bhatti, Abdul Rehman Bullo, Muhammad Ejaz Khan, Zahoor Ahmad Panhwar,  Farid Ullah Jan, Ms Aisha Farooq, Ms Hina Akram, Ms Farhat Qayum, Adnan Inamullah Khan, Ms Sumbal Agha, Muhammad Yasir Pirzada, Aftab Alam, Imran Munir, Sheikh Zahid Masood, Yasir Ali, Ms Qaisara Fatima, Abdul Aziz Narejo,  Atif Ali, Manzoor Ali Jokhio, Ms Asma Aftab, Ahsan Raza Ch, Imran Latif Minhas, Qazi Hifzur Rehman, Ms Irum Sarwar, Hazoor Bux Laghari, Muhammad Abid, Syed Shakeel Ahmad, Ms Samia Ejaz, Dr. Abdul Rehman Rind, Nasir Iqbal, Ahmad Kamal, Ms Naureen Yaqub, Zain-ul- Abidin Sahi, Ms Ayesha Imran Butt, Irshad Hussain, Abdul Khalique Shaikh, Muhammad Majid, Faisal Rauf Memon, Hassan Zulfiqar, Ms Nafeesa Satti,  Khaliq Farooq Mian, Muhammad Asim Halim, Ms Yasmeen Fatima and Qaiser Mahmood.

As many as 14 officers are promoted to Grade-21 in Police Service of Pakistan and 27 officers are promoted to Grade-20.

As many as 06 officers are promoted to Grade-21 in Foreign Service of Pakistan and 07 officers are promoted to Grade-20.

As many as 31 officers are promoted to Grade-21 in Pakistan Administrative Service and 28 officers are promoted to Grade-20.

As many as 11 officers are promoted to Grade-21 in Secretariat Group and 17 officers are promoted to Grade-20.
