Gawadar: Gwadar Customs in two different raids, seized oil tankers carrying smuggled Iranian High Speed Diesel (HSD) and 200 bottles of Whiskey from a pickup truck.
According to details on a tip off, entry and exit routes of Gwadar port were kept under surveillance. In the wee hours of Saturday, custom officials spotted four oil tankers and signaled the drivers to stop. The Customs found and seized 1,40,000 litres of HSD smuggle from Iran.
In a separate raid, again on information, a pickup truck was intercepted. It was found laden with boxes containing whisky bottles. The driver, vehicle and contraband were seized by the Gwadar Customs.
