KARACHI: Directorate of Customs Valuation has revised the customs values of switches and sockets vide Valuation Ruling No.993/2016.
Customs values of switches and sockets were earlier determined vide Valuation Ruling No.652/2015. The ruling needed revision in line with the prices prevailing in the international market
Director Wasif Memon formed a team comprising Additional Director Iqbal Muneeb, Deputy Director Rizwan Bashir, Principal Appraiser Iqbal Ali and Valuation Officer Altaf Mangi to determine the values of the goods afresh.
Switches and sockets under PCT 8521.9090 would be assessed for duty and taxes at $2.0/kg for China origin goods; at $6.0/kg for Europe/USA/Japan/Canada origin goods and at $4.0/kg for other origin goods.
