KARACHI: The Directorate General of Customs Valuation on Tuesday issued guide line for key chain made of iron and steel (low end/unpopular brands only). According to a notification by the Directorate it was part of an exercise to develop database values for different items where in declarations made were of ‘wide range’ and do not correctly reflect values. The notification said that key chain falls under PCT Heading 7326.9090. The guide line was arrived at after examining clearance data and market inquiry besides obtaining online prices and the value of key chain (iron and steel) was determined to be at US $ 3.0 per kilogram of China origin.
Meanwhile the value of Nail Cutter/Clipper (low end/unpopular brands) was also determined by the same method to be at US $ 3.75 per kilogram.
