KARACHI: Collector MCC Appraisement East, Ashad Jawwad has initiated a campaign to recover government revenue to the tune of Rs2.0 billion approximately outstanding against various importers.

In order to pursue the recovery of legitimate government revenue, Ashad Jawwad has formed a team comprising Assistant Collector Hina Gul, Prinipal Appraiser Sultan Aurungzaib and Appraising Officer Amir Nasir Ali Khan with directives to take all measures within the ambit of law effecting recovery.

In this regard, the Customs authorities are coordinating with the local governments and deputy commissioners of six districts in the city have been contacted for attachment of properties of the defaulting importers.
