KARACHI: Director Customs Valuation Karachi, Dr. Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of sweet corn, canned pineapple & fruit cocktail vide Valuation Ruling No. 856/2016.
The customs values of Sweet Corn, Canned Pineapple & Fruit Cocktail were determined vide Valuation Ruling No. 456/2012. Importers of Sweet Corn, Canned Pineapple & Fruit Cocktail had submitted references wherein they requested for revision of valuation ruling.
Since the said ruling was considerably old and needed to be updated so as to reflect current international market prices, an exercise to determine the customs values of subject goods was under taken.
The Customs values of sweet corn of up to 420 grams (Delmont & Dole) of Thailand under PCT 2005.8000 at $0.74/KG, other brands at $0.72/KG. Customs values of sweet corn of up to 2950 grams (Delmont & Dole) of Thailand under PCT 2005.8000 at $0.70/KG, other brands at $0.63/KG.
Customs values of full slice Pineapple under PCT 2008.2000 in less than 2800 grams of Hosen-brand of all origin are fixed at $1.0/KG, of Delmont & Dole brand of all origins at $0.79/KG, of Seasons & S & W brand all origin at $0.77/KG. Customs values of other brands of Philippine origin at $0.75/KG, of Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and other origins at $0.65/KG.
Customs values of full slice Pineapple under PCT 2008.2000 in above 2801-5000 grams packing of Hosen-brand of all origin are fixed at $0.98/KG, of Delmont & Dole brand of all origins at $0.78/KG, of Seasons & S & W brand all origin at $0.76/KG. Customs values of other brands of Philippine origin at $0.74/KG, of Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and other origins at $0.64/KG.
Customs values of broken slice Pineapple under PCT 2008.2000 in less than 2801 grams packing of Hosen-brand of all origin are fixed at $0.97/KG, of Delmont & Dole brand of all origins at $0.77/KG, of Seasons & S & W brand all origin at $0.75/KG. Customs values of other brands of Philippine origin at $0.73/KG, of Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and other origins at $0.63/KG.

Customs values of fruit cocktail under PCT 2008.9700 in less than 2801 grams packing of Hosen-brand of all origin are fixed at $0.85/KG, of Delmont & Dole brand of all origins at $0.65/KG, of Seasons & S & W brand all origin at $0.63/KG. Customs values of other brands of Philippine origin at $0.60/KG, of Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and other origins at $0.58/KG.
Customs values of fruit cocktail under PCT 2008.9700 in 2801-5000 grams packing of Hosen-brand of all origin are fixed at $0.82/KG, of Delmont & Dole brand of all origins at $0.62/KG, of Seasons & S & W brand all origin at $0.60/KG. Customs values of other brands of Philippine origin at $0.58/KG, of Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and other origins at $0.55/KG.
