KARACHI: Director Customs Valuation Dr. Wasif Memon has revised the Customs values of printing ink vide Valuation Ruling No.854/2016.
The values of printing ink were earlier determined vide Valuation Ruling No. 707/2015. Since the said ruling was over an year old and several representations had been received from importers, an exercise was conducted to determine the values of printing ink under PCT code 3215 afresh.
The Customs values of Printing Ink of Chinese origin are fixed as Process Yellow at $2.3/KG, Process Magenta/Red at $2.73/KG, Process Cyan/Blue at $2.73/KG, Process Black at $2.25/KG, Deep/D-Yellow at $2.3/KG, Lemon/L-Yellow at $2.31/KG, Bronze Red at $2.6/KG, Deep Red at $3.21/KG, Bronze Blue at $3.25/KG, Peacock Blue at $2.8/KG, Brilliant Blue at $3.1/KG, Brilliant Green at $3.24 Tint Medium/White at $2.3/KG and printing ink of all other colors would be assessed to duty and taxes at $3.40/KG.
The Customs values of Printing Ink of Korea/Taiwan origin are fixed as Process Yellow at $2.58/KG, Process Magenta/Red at $3.0/KG, Process Cyan/Blue at $3.02/KG, Process Black at $2.56/KG, Deep/D-Yellow at $2.75/KG, Lemon/L-Yellow at $2.82/KG, Bronze Red at $2.9/KG, Deep Red at $3.45/KG, Bronze Blue at $3.95/KG, Peacock Blue at $3.45/KG, Brilliant Blue at $3.97/KG, Brilliant Green at $4.0 Tint Medium/White at $2.6/KG and printing ink of all other colors would be assessed to duty and taxes at $4.05/KG.
The customs values of Printing Ink for Newspaper Colored (in bulk packing 25 Kg & Above) of Europe are fixed at $2.5/KG. The customs values of Printing Ink for Newspaper Black of Europe are fixed at $1.0/KG.
