KARACHI: The Director Customs Valuation Dr. Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of caustic soda flakes vide Valuation Ruling No.852/2016.
The values of caustic soda flakes were determined more than two years ago through Valuation Ruling No.654/2014. A re-determination of values of these goods was deemed necessary and an exercise was conducted to fix the customs values of caustic soda flakes under PCT 2815.1100.
The values of sodium hydroxide (caustic soda flakes) of Saudi Arabia are fixed at $0.50/KG, of Iran by land route at $0.43/KG, of Kuwait at $0.45/KG, other middle east origins at $0.45/KG, of Taiwan at $0.48/KG, of Korea at $0.48/KG, of Japan at $0.60/KG, of China at $0.47/KG, of Europe at $5.50/KG and other far east origin at $0.55/KG.
Customs values of sodium hydroxide (caustic soda CH6 oval shape) of Japan are fixed at $2.68/KG.
