LAHORE: The staff of Anti Smuggling Organization of Model Custom Collectorate Preventive, Lahore has made significant progress against smuggling and seized non-duty paid goods and vehicles worth Rs28.87 million in the month of April 2016.
The ASO team headed by Superintendent Munawar Ahmed Khan under the supervision of Assistant Collector Dr. Muhammad Adnan Khan on the directives of Collector Appraisement Lahore Zulfiqar Younas is effectively pursuing the anti-smuggling campaign.
Cases valuing Rs14.87 millions were made during the month of April 2015. Cases valuing Rs306.63 million have been made during the period July 2015 to April, 2016 whereas cases valuing Rs267.77 millions were made during the corresponding period of last year. An increase of Rs14 million as compared with the April 2015 and increase of Rs38.86 millions excess as compared with the corresponding period of last year.
