KARACHI:  MCC Preventive Karachi has surpassed its customs duty collection target by 1.7 percent in the month of April 2016.

MCC Preventive collected Customs duty of Rs2.481 billion in April 2016 against the target of Rs2.438 billion, while customs duty collection in March 2016 stood at Rs2.623 billion.

The oil section was the star performer in the Collectorate which surpassed its target by around 1.0 percent collecting duty of Rs1.514 billion against the target of Rs1.5 billion.

The Air Freight unit (AFU) collected Rs915.39 million against the target of Rs1.0 billion during April 2016.

As far as quarter ended March 30, 2016 is concerned MCC Preventive collected duty of Rs21.88 billion surpassing the target of Rs17.85 billion by 14 percent.
