KARACHI: Director Customs Valuation Dr. Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of toffees, candies and sugar confectionery vide Valuation Ruling No.835/2016.
The customs values of toffees, candies and sugar confectionery were determined vide Valuation Ruling No.625/2016. References were received from some importers for revision in the values as they claimed that international prices of the goods were declining.
An exercise was undertaken to determine the customs values of chewing gum under HS Code 1704.
The customs values of candy of China/India are fixed at $1.10/KG, of Far East at $1.50/KG, of Middle East Turkey at $1.7/KG and of Europe/USA at $2.0/KG.
The customs values of toffee of China/India are fixed at $1.35/KG, of Far East at $1.55/KG, of Turkey at $1.75/KG, of UAE at $1.40/KG, of Oman at $1.35/KG and of Europe/USA at $2.05/KG.
The customs values of compound chocolate/substitute of Turkey are fixed at $2.15/KG. The customs values of Lollipop of Europe/USA are fixed at $2.25/KG, all other origins at $2.0/KG.
The customs values of Fruittella of Europe/USA are fixed at $2.60/KG, all other origins at $2.40/KG. The customs values of Polo Mentos of Europe/USA are fixed at $2.5/KG, all other origins at $2.30/KG. The customs values of jelly of Europe/USA are fixed at $1.60/KG, all other origins at $1.4/KG.
