KARACHI: Director Customs Valuation Dr. Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of chewing gum vide Valuation Ruling No.834/2016.
The customs values of chewing gum were determined vide Valuation Ruling No.506/2012 and 512/2012. References were received from some importers for revision in the values as they claimed that international prices of the goods were declining.
An exercise was undertaken to determine the customs values of chewing gum under HS Code 1704.
The customs values of chewing gum Wrigley’s brand extra pellet (different flavors of all origins are fixed at $10.90/KG. The customs values of chewing gum Wrigley’s brand extra professional (different flavors of all origins are fixed at $15.90/KG. The customs values of chewing gum Wrigley’s brand extra tabs (different flavors of all origins are fixed at $13.66/KG.
The customs values of chewing gum Lottee brand, spout brand of all origins are fixed at $2.0/KG. The customs values of chewing gum Batook brand of all origins are fixed at $1.60/KG.
The customs values of chewing gum other brands of all origins excluding USA & Europe are fixed at $2.20/KG. The customs values of chewing gum other brands of USA and Europe are fixed at $3.15/KG.
