KARACHI: Director Customs Valuation Karachi Dr. Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of welding electrodes vide Valuation Ruling No.832/2016.
The importers of welding electrodes have agitated against the customs values determined vide Valuation Ruling No. 518/2012 mainly on the ground that the values of the subject goods are traded in the international market on much lower side. Thus, an exercise to determine the Customs values of the goods under PCT 8311.1000 was initiated.
The Customs values of MS welding electrodes AWS E6013 of China origin are fixed at $0.70/KG and all other origins at $0.81/KG.
The Customs values of MS welding electrodes AWS E7018 of China origin are fixed at $0.75/KG and all other origins at $0.86/KG.
The Customs values of SS welding electrodes of China origin are fixed at $2.50/KG and all other origins at $2.88/KG.
The Customs values of Bronze welding electrodes of China origin are fixed at $7.0/KG and all other origins at $8.05/KG.
