KARACHI: The Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Model Customs Collectorate (Preventive), Lahore seized smuggled/ non-duty paid goods and vehicles valuing Rs61.60 million during the month of February, 2016.

Cases involving revenue of Rs51.137 million were made during February 2015, an increase of Rs10.46 million as compared with the February 2015.

Cases involving Rs335.09 million have been made during the period July 2015 to February 2016 whereas cases valuing Rs286.715 million were made during corresponding period of last year (2014-15), an increase of Rs48.375 million as compared with the corresponding of last year.

On the directives of the Collector of Customs (Preventive), ASO Lahore is pursuing a rigorous anti-smuggling campaign. ASO Lahore is headed by Assistant Collector Dr. Muhammad Adnan Khan, Superintendent Munawar Ahmad Khan, Deputy Superintendents Saleem Akhtar and Ejaz Rasool Shah,  and Inspectors Gulzar Hussain Bhati, Muhammad Khalid But, Amjad Khan, Abdul Ghaffar, Ghulam Hussain Kalas, Shahid Khan, Sajjad Hussain Bukhari, Abdul Hameed Bhatti, Tariq Baig, Muhammad Arif and Asif Nawaz.
