KARACHI: Director Customs Valuation Dr. Wasif Memon has revised the customs values of betel nuts vide valuation ruling No.816/2016.
MCC Appraisement West referred the case to Directorate General of Customs Valuation for revision and rationalization of the Valuation Ruling No.614/2013 of betel nuts.
Consequently, an exercise was initiated afresh and customs values of betel nuts under PCT 0802.8000 are fixed at $1.20/KG for goods of Indonesia/Malaysia/Singapore/Vietnam origin and $1.40/KG for goods of Thailand origin.
