KARACHI: ASO of Customs Intelligence & Investigation raided a warehouse in North Karachi and recovered 424 tyres smuggled from Afghanistan. These tyres are worth Rs4.5 million.
The owner of the warehouse Mohammad Naeem however managed to escape the scene. Authorities are searching for the absconder while FIR in this regard has been lodged.
DG I&I Imtiaz Ahmed has issued special directives to Director Asif Marghoob Siddiqui, Additional Director Nadeem Ahsan, Assistant Director Kaleemullah and Superintendent Najeeb Jafri to expedite their campaign against smuggling of tyres.
