KARACHI: The Government of Pakistan has imposed regulatory duty ranging 5-10 percent on a number of imported goods.

According to details through an amendment in SRO 568(I)/ 2014, government is imposing afresh 10 percent regulatory duty on import of live poultry, fish frozen, fish fillets and other fish meat; other prepared or preserved meat, meat offal or blood.

Regulatory duty of 10 percent has also been imposed on the import of coconut, Brazil nuts and cashew nuts; cocoa paste, cocoa butter, fat/oil, cocoa powder.

Regulatory duty of 10 percent has also been imposed on import of extracts, essences and concentrates of coffee, tea or mate and their preparations.

Regulatory duty of 10 percent has also been imposed on import of all type of bags, pouches, trunks, suit cases and boxes; articles of apparel and clothing accessories of leather or of composition leather and all type of footwear.

All sort of garments and clothing, tents, canvas, blankets, bedwear/bed linen, curtains and other furnishing articles and rugs would be subject to 5.0 percent regulatory duty.

Glass beads, imitation pearls, imitation precious or semi-precious stones and similar glass smallwears and imitation jewelry would be subject to 10 percent RD.

Moreover, video game consoles and machine articles for funfare, table or parlour games and equipment for bowling alleys; articles and equipment of general physical exercise, gymnastics, athletics and other sports; brooms, brushes, mechanical and automatic mops/cleaners have been imposed with 10 percent RD.
