KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has discontinued ‘performance allowance’ of hundreds of Customs and Inland Revenue officers of BS-16 as these officials had not submitted the Declaration of Assets, which is required as per Guidelines for Performance Allowance 2015.

As many as 806 officials of Customs Department belonging to various cadres were drawing performance allowance, which has been discontinued for three months or filing of their Declaration of Assets.

Similarly, performance allowance of 474 officials of Inland Revenue Department of various cadres has also been discontinued.

These officers were drawing performance allowance, which equals 100 percent of basic salary.
