KARACHI: MCC Port Qasim has planned an auction of plastic scrap (PVC scrap) and all the statutory provisions will be followed in this regard, Additional Collector Shafiq Ahmed Latki said.
MCC Port Qasim has advertised an auction of plastic scrap (PVC Scrap), which was confiscated by the collectorate as the importers did not meet the basic import requirements. Around 400 containers of plastic scrap were confiscated as these did not the basic conditions as envisaged in SRO 149(I)/2015.
The auction announcement raised several reservations among the importers/owners of these goods. However, Additional Collector Latki has rejected all such reservations and claims of the importers.
He informed Customnews.pk that the auction will be held in a very transparent manner and completely in line with the provisions of law adding that only those persons would be allowed to bid who meet the conditions of SRO 149(I)/2015.
