KARACHI: The Directorate of Reforms and Automation has recently deployed Structured Description Module in WeBOC system.

The module aims at introducing artificial intelligence in WeBOC system by linking all 7014 tariff lines of Pakistan Customs Tariff with a set of questions to be answered in ‘yes’ or ‘no’ by trader at the time of filing of GD in WeBOC.

Initially, the questions asked and trader’s replies are visible to assessing officer’s screen only.

Collector Surayya Ahmed Butt has directed Deputy/Assistant Collector assessment groups to closely liaise with their assessing, officer and monitor correct application thereof.

Any observations viz. questions, issues faced at assessment level should be brought to the notice of their Additional Collector concerned at the end of each day for the next ten (10) days.
