KARACHI: Establishment Division of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a list of nominated Inland Revenue Service Officers of BS 18 for 17th Mid Carrere Management Course (MCMC) which is mandatory for promotion to BS 19.

The IRS officers must show their enthusiasm in written form having with latest annual medical examination report from an authorized attendant, e-mail, residential/official address along with phone/fax number before November 22, 2013, otherwise they would be considered reluctant and not be able to take part in further promotions to BS 19.
The nominating agencies are requested to forward detailed bio-data and also a certificate that no disciplinary proceedings are pending or going on under the government servant (Efficiency & Disciplinary) Rule, 1973 or any other court of law.
It also directed that it is the discretion of establishing division who would finalize the list of IRS officers to be nominated for MCMC course in order of seniority. However, the officer on long leaves/pending or undergoing disciplinary proceedings may also not be maintained.
Nominated officers must be proficient in computer related skills for successful operation of MCMC course, so without any handicap they can start training. It mentioned that officers who have attained the age of 50 or may attain the same during the currency of the course are exempted from the training.
As the course is mandatory for promotion therefore, controlling ministries/ divisions/departments will be requested to relieve the nominated officers.
The establishing division will pay the course fee which is 2 lakh in respect of the officer belonging to occupational groups/services. It is informed that course fee of ex-cadre officers of the federal government, officers of provincial governments and all officers other than those mentioned hereafter shall be paid by their respective organizations.
