KARACHI: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has linked officials’ promotions and other fringe benefits with meeting the ambitious revenue target and asked them to go all out to increase the collection.
It may be mentioned here that the revenue target for the current fiscal year is Rs2381.
Chairman FBR, Ali Arshad Hakeem along with Asrar Rauf, Senior Member IR (Policy) visited Income Tax House on Sunday to address the officers and officials of Inland Revenue Service, Karachi.
Hakeem emphasized on using all the measures provided in respective laws to enhance revenue collection. He stressed upon the officers the importance of using the available intelligence and information technology tools to maximize tax revenue in a fair and just manner.
Hakeem motivated the officers and officials by assuring to resolve their long pending issues of promotion, housing, education for children and other fringe benefits provided they meet and exceed the revenue target.
